Marsico’s Small Games of Chance Amendment Earns Approval of House
HARRISBURG – As an amendment to House Bill 169, Rep. Ron Marsico’s (R-Lower Paxton) update to the small games of chance law was approved yesterday and the bill was approved by the House today.
“These updates to the current small games of chance law have been fleshed out over the past few months during hearings and meetings,” said Marsico. “My amendment is essentially the same as House Bill 11 that was passed by the House in October of 2005.”
Marsico’s amendment will change existing regulations as follows:
“I have heard loud and clear from our volunteer fire departments, veteran’s organizations and other groups that rely on small games of chance to raise money for charitable purposes in their communities to update the existing law,” said Marsico. “I am very proud to be able to help support these organizations that do so much for our local areas.”
